Looots of great stuff happened this week... Let's start by saying that the number of our supporters has reached and passed the 4000 (more than 4100 by now 😍): our gratitude goes to everybody for being aboard with us in this adventure!!!

Juicy foretaste: Solo Campaign Mode and 1 vs 1 Campaign Mode!

Solo Campaign Mode

In the Solo Campaign Mode, the Keeper is joining the fight through its Avatar and the Essence will manifest in the form of an Aura. At every campaign chapter, while the Avatar will acquire permanent benefits and gain more strength, the Aura will spread its influence to empower the whole army.

In addition, you will be able to recruit Acolytes from defeated Factions to modify your chosen deck. This way, you will be preparing for an epic final battle against the Corruptor itself, waiting for you with new mechanics and all of its Constructs, in all its destructive fury!

1 vs 1 Campaign Mode

Even while facing a common enemy, the Keepers still have their hostilities, and nothing can stop them from trying to annihilate one another. So, now that they learned how to acquire more power for their Factions and for themselves, their battles are becoming quests for complete supremacy! To play the campaign 1 vs 1, the Keepers pick 3 out of the 6 Factions and play them to face one another with a draft phase to begin. Every battle will provide the winner with the chance to enhance their deck with the cards acquired from the defeated army, while the loser will rely on more Essence Crystals as a compensation for the cards they lost. Both players will get to strengthen the abilities of their Avatar and Aura, to make every next chapter more challenging!

Additionally, there is a deckbuilding variant which allows you to merge the 3 chosen decks, with special rules to apply.

New Playmats have been served!

As those returning backers of ours are already aware of, we would like to reiterate how much our backers mean to us! In fact our campaigns have always been studded with our efforts to implement some ideas that popped up from our supporters and this time it's no different! We listened carefully and figured if it was feasible and since it is, now everyone will have the chance to get 2 extra playmats as an add-on and we chose two neat artworks for them! Also, the even cooler thing is that, if you decide to go for them, in the Kickstarter Edition all four of the playmats will fit! 

3 interesting videos uploaded lately (Solo included)!

Lately we added three videos to the campaign body! One is a complete 1 vs 1 tutorial and playthrough of Paul Grogan, we thought it would be interesting for you all to have a full immersion on what it will be like to play Sanctuary: The Keepers Era, once in your hands.

The second one is a speed video of one of our artist while creating the Avatar of your Solo Campaign Mode card, a little behind the scenes was a must have in our humble opinion, go watch it below! 

And the third one is a complete Solo Mode playthrough by BoardGameHeaven and we posted it just now. The solo play mode is a one shot game, in which you can choose a Faction to lead and another to be subjected by the Corruptor, the enemy you need to defeat, with great variability for every battle.

We all wish these unprecedented times will make room for the every day life we were all used to in no time. Hopefully everything will get back to normal real soon. Yet, in the meantime, we at Tabula Games thought of a way for people to find a world they can dive into also and above all during this worldwide lockdown. For this reason we are happy to announce that our game Icaion will be available on TableTop Simulator! Our fourth game will be available on the TableTop online platform starting on Monday 13th and that's not all: We plan of including also Sanctuary: The Keepers Era on TTS in the future, are you happy? 😄 #stayhome #playhard

On a last note, Easter is approaching and, since it is a really heartfelt holiday for us, we might be a little off the radar, but we will be fully operative on Tuesday 14th. Seeing that we reached and passed the 3000 supporters and we are over 2000 comments in the comment section make us feel really lucky to have such wonderful community, thank you everyone for the great support!

Speaking of wonderful community, we are very excited to tell you that we have the First Weekly Reward Winner! This backer showed passion and constant commitment towards Sanctuary: The Keepers Era, providing answers to his fellow backers whenever they needed one! We would like to remind that the aim is not to write as many comments as possible, but to show your support and also to help others :)

In addition your support allowed the addition of the printed inserts inside the box and of another original artwork! One is on the external box lid and this new one will be in the inner box lid! We're enthusiastic, what about you??

Deckbuilding via points almost in your hands!

Since many of you asked about this, here's a little preview of the upcoming Stretch Goal! Your battles will get a new twist with this deckbuilding mode! We assigned points to every card, which will allow to create custom decks mixing the existing ones. The deckbuilding mode rules for the 1vs1 game include a draft mechanic, infinite combinations are guaranteed and no additional cards are needed to play with your friends.

Come on guys, aren't you excited to add this mode to the game? Spread the word and this SG too will be unlocked :D

The next Stretch Goal is the Solo Campaign which is a whole unprecedented Mode with new rules and artworks! Keep going and it will be yours!!!

On a last note, we want to remind everyone to download the card template in order to create new cards! Share them with everyone in the dedicated forum and vote for your favorites! More engagement for you: BGG Riddles!

You thought we were done with the entertainment, ah? Well, actually we are just about to begin, so you need to be all ears!!!

Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we will publish one riddle on our Board Game Geek page (Sanctuary: The Keepers Era). The Riddles are challenging ways to test your knowledge of the game and your strategic skills: in order to solve a riddle, you need to write down a list of moves that you can perform in one turn to win a given battle. The fastest player that posts the correct answer is declared the winner!

This is another way for us to reward our most passionate supporters! On Monday and Wednesday, new riddles will come out at 6:00 PM CEST, while on Tuesday and Thursday they are scheduled for 10:00 AM CEST, so that all the time zones are covered and everyone gets their chance to play :)

You all are unstoppable for sure, those Stretch goals are being smashed real fast! So far you've got yourselves 2 Additional Cards with a cool new artwork and bigger tuck boxes inside the Kickstarter Edition, so you will no longer be worried if your cards get scratched. You can protect them with the sleeves: now there's room for them! :D

What's the Special pin #andratuttobene?

We wanted to take a moment and explain in detail how we came up with this idea.

The Pin #andratuttobene is a special add-on we designed for backers, in Italy and worldwide, who want to engage in the response to the Covid-19 pandemic and show their support.
As you know, we are living in a very difficult time because of this global emergency, which is causing serious consequences on the life of us all. 

Our work could be done in some way digitally, and despite all the difficulties this entails, we decided to keep on working on the campaign to bring our project to life, since we believe this could be a way to not give in to this sad situation.

The special pin brings a message of resiliency, #andratuttobene, which means “everything will be fine”. The add-on can be purchased for 5€ in the pledge manager at the end of the campaign. All proceeds will go to the Protezione Civile Italiana, which collects funds to sustain their efforts against the pandemic in Italy.
